I am based near Saffron Walden and I offer a range of services connected with Personal Computers (my experience is primarily with PC's, although I do have some knowledge of Apple computers). I have been working with PC's since 1982 and have been offering training on them for over ten years.
I offer one-on-one training at all levels, from complete beginners through to seasoned users who want to learn new software or simply discover more efficient ways of using their computer.
I have found over the years that a two-hour lesson is generally the ideal length, although I am happy to vary this according to individual needs and preferences (with a one-hour mininum). I charge only for the time I am with you.
Having worked as a professional photographer for several years, I have extensive knowledge of cameras and photography, and am familiar with many picture editing/printing programs, include Photoshop. I can help with using the camera, copying photographs from camera to computer, editing where necessary, and printing - either on your own printer or by using internet printing sites or local shops.
If your computer is misbehaving, or has slowed down noticeably since it was new (and this is especially obvious in the time it takes to start up and close down), it can often be helped by cleaning out unnecessary programs which have built up over time, or possibly by adding some extra memory to the computer. I can check over the machine and advise as to the best course of action.
